Race: Shapeshifter - Black Panther (Panthera onca)

Phsyical Details: Strong arms, piercing eyes and a mysterious smile; those are Ni~ya's top three physical characteristics, and his most remarkable ones as well. Tall, about 1,77m, he has a beautiful and well-built body, always moving around gracefully. Ni~ya usually walks without making a sound, probably because while in his animal form, that's more than a simple task for him.

Both his ears are pierced, and he used to have his lower lip adorned by a lipring as well, but he removed it after a fight which took place in Schism. Very flexible, Ni~ya sometimes does things with his body that makes other people believe that he's either a gymnast or not human. He has a tatoo on his right arm, which looks like a bracelet of some strange kind.

He always wear dark clothing, no matter how sunny the morning might be; he is particulary fond of hats and when using one of them, he tilts said accessory down to cover one or both of his eyes. When he looks up to gaze at someone, however, the feeling is indescribable; as if your soul is being exposed and read.

Personality: The shapeshifter boy is a quiet one. Ni~ya "speaks" much more through his gestures, looks, smiles and even other kinds of sounds than with coherent words. An elegant person, he retains a lot of things from his animal form, such as a particular fondness of the night and the dark, when he becomes more active. He has nothing against the sun, however.

Ni~ya likes to exercise, no matter how; working out at his own house, jogging in the streets, dancing, stalking a prey, having sex; you name it. If it requires any kind of physical effort, he will like to do it.

It's normal for him to purr when feeling pleased and happy, as well as to growl and roar when really angry. Being the son of full-blood shapeshifters, Ni~ya has no trouble with switching forms, and takes a devious pleasure in sometimes changing his form in front of innocent, mortal eyes; he likes to kill once in a while.

Background: Ni~ya was born from the union of a male clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) shapeshifter with a Bombay cat (Felis catus) female shapeshifter. It's funny to see that he's the result of his parents animal forms combined: he has the size and the features of his father, but the fur/eye colour of his mother in his animal form, of course.

He was born in the United States, country where his mother's cat breed was developed; his eyes, however, look like Asian ones because of his father: he was from the tropical rainforests in South America, where the natives have almost the same kind of eye shape.

He lived in the American territory until the day his father was shot by a farmer, who thought his dad was chasing one of his chickens. The wound was fatal and left Ni~ya and his mother alone in the village they lived, not to mention afraid of the whole new situation; they would be hunted if the truth about them was discovered.

Moving wasn't something that pleased Ni~ya. It's said that cats usually get attached to the place they live and not to their owners, and it was pretty much what happened to the shapeshifter boy. His mother, however, made him go away with her to a different country, one she had heard rumours about fantastic beings like them living without being killed or shot by accident: Japan.

And to the far away land they went. At first, Ni~ya found the new country and home strange; too many new people, smells and things he wasn't used to. He chose to stay indoors most of his time when he came to Japan, and the only way he had to get rid of all the energy he had as a young shapeshifter was exercising. That was how Ni~ya started to like the whole thing about working out.

Years passed and Ni~ya finally got used to his surroundings. His mother adapted way faster than him, and even got herself a new lover. There was, however, something which always made the younger shapeshifter narrow his beautiful and piercing eyes when his mother's lover was around; something didn't feel right.

And one day, he found out why. The man was actually a vampire, and killed his mother after one night together. He never saw the man again, but the marks on his mom's neck and the paleness of her lifeless form indicated that her blood had been all drained.

Ni~ya, then, swore never to trust a vampire. He buried his mother's body and since her death, became the silent and observant being he is now. His eyes are dangerous; they have a kind of mesmerising power over mortals and sometimes over vampires, too. He knows what lurks in the shadows, and is certainly not afraid of them.

Actually, he thinks that the shadows should fear him and the dormant wrath which lies within his heart, if anything.

Other Info: Ni~ya's repressed anger takes over sometimes, when he shifts into his animal form and hunts to kill. That's why he takes pleasure in killing once in a while: it relieves the wrath he's always holding back. He has an obvious grude against vampires and when really speaking, Ni~ya likes to use cat sayings such as "Cat got your tongue?"
